Jodha Akbar : A Review

When I first heard of this movie, may be 6 months ago, I was not too excited and thought
here comes another wastage of crores and crores of rupees. Although I knew movie would recover it's cost,
thanks to the marketing strategies these days.

After watching this movie I was just stumped. The movie, direction, performances, location
are just stunning. I was pleasantly surprised that my prejudice's were wrong.

I have read medieval history of India very thoroughly and have always been fascinated by Akbar (others are Alauddin Khilji and Mohammad Bin Tughlak)
and wasn't sure if the movie will do the justice to the Akbar. Except the love story of Jodha and Akbar (ofcourse the theme of this movie) all the
events are based on historical facts. As it was correctly narrated by Amitabh Bachchan, the love story was not mentioned by the contemporary
writers from Akbar's court or was not given any importance.

Anyways back to the movie:

The movie binds you to your seat to entire length. Hrithik's performance as Akbar is as good as it gets. He did justice to his
character.
Aishwarya performed well.
If I really liked someone's performance that would be Sonu Sood as Sujamal. He is absolutely good. I felt his acting was flawless.

In my view every one has performed well.

The direction is very crisp and the end could not have been better. The movie was not dragged unnecessarily and focussed only on the events related to main story.

Over all it's a must watch movie.
